This is Phyllis and although I have not offically joined any of the meet-up activities, I must agree most groups seem to be poorly organized and lacking vital contact information.  

My daughter had a very unpleasant experience trying to connect with a group of single women for a slumber party two weeks ago in Northeast Philadelphia.  There was no information as to the actual room numbers booked at the hotel and she waited in the lobby for over an hour before she discovered almost 10 people were already there.

The organizer gave her a cell phone number that was inactive and when she commented on the lack of communication, the organizer said it wasn't her fault the phone company cut off her incoming calls.  At least a sign in the lobby would have helped.  Needless to say she was disgusted and left, especially after realizing only two rooms were booked for 20 people.  There wasn't even room to put down asleeping bag. 

Kind of makes one hesitant to attend any other activities.
